Minimum Selling Price

SSP ≈ Production × 2.5

The floor MRP that keeps royalty positive after production cost, marketplace cut, and GST.

Marketplace Royalty

(MRP ÷ 2) − Production (GST)

Amazon and Flipkart take ~50% margin on POD books. The rest, minus print and GST, is your royalty.

When do royalties actually hit my account? +

On the 10th of every month for sales settled in the previous month, paid via UPI or NEFT. The first payout is in the month following your launch month.

Where can I see live sales numbers? +

You get a private dashboard at /author/dashboard showing units sold per channel, revenue, and projected royalty for the month. Updated daily from each platform's API.

What if a sale gets refunded after I have been paid? +

Refunds settle automatically against the next month's royalty. You will see the reversal as a line item on the dashboard. We never claw back money that has already been paid out — only future months net the adjustment.

Is there a minimum payout threshold? +

Yes. Royalty payments are initiated once your royalty balance reaches ₹1,000. Upon reaching the threshold, ₹500 is transferred to your registered bank account, while the remaining balance is maintained as a reserve for any future adjustments, including book returns, promotional discounts, damaged copies, or marketplace reconciliation. Any remaining balance continues to accumulate and is included in future royalty payouts.
